Why the Master of Accounting?

The accounting profession is changing fast. Global economic complexity, technological innovation and the proliferation of data are disrupting fields such as audit, financial reporting, internal audit, tax, managerial accounting, and forensic accounting.

This change is creating new opportunities for thought leaders to step up and drive change and innovation in the field of financial information.

The Master of Accounting is designed to meet this need.

A new decision-science

The Master of Accounting combines the development of technical expertise with training in interpersonal dynamics, developing the wide set of skills required to make complex decisions regarding the generation, interpretation, and analysis of financial data.

On the pulse

The Master of Accounting programme was formulated in consultation with senior practitioners and employers, who endorsed the programme’s aim to develop critical and innovative thinking in financial information. Content is topical and responsive, relying heavily on case scenarios that incorporate real-world data, often developed with and supported by the network of Master of Accounting advisors. A leadership speaker series gives students insight into the challenges faced by leaders in the financial information profession.

Innovative thinking

The learning experience offered by the Master of Accounting leverages the strengths at Cambridge Judge Business School in creative and innovative thinking, applying decision science to the field of financial information. We embrace interactive learning, focusing on applying judgement in uncertainty, in a global context.

Unique, part-time format

The Master of Accounting is designed to suit the professional lives of participants, allowing continuation of employment during the programme. A combination of face-to-face interaction in Cambridge, with online course delivery and discussion, will provide an impactful, blended learning style.

The Master of Accounting is uniquely positioned and designed to educate a new generation of leaders for the profession, capable of solving problems that are more complex, ambiguous and data intensive than ever before.
