My research seeks to advance a more human-centric perspective on institutional dynamics, attempting to understand how humans relate to their work, organisations and institutions, and how this impacts institutional processes. I’m particularly interested in craft and community-related contexts and the mechanisms behind long-term institutional persistence. As part of my research, I study the surprising survival of the heritage craft of Koniaków lacemaking in Poland.

Biography
Prior to starting her PhD, Monika completed the MPhil in Innovation, Strategy and Organisation at Cambridge Judge Business School and BA in Business and Management at Durham University Business School.
