Idea
Growd is an award-winning platform that is revolutionising how we think of the education of children from birth to 14 years of age by enabling children to design their own learning experiences outside of the classroom.
They work with parents of children below the age of 14 years to find, design and match them to co-curricular or play activities such as STEM, music, sports and arts, that improve the academic, mental, physical and social development of their children. Growd bases its design on a child’s developmental milestones, location, interest and goals to deliver the best results.
Embedded in the platform is a community feature that allow parents get answers to their most pressing questions privately and confidently from experienced parents and a community of experts.

Impact
Growd connects parents and their children to quality educational content, resources, and information that develop a child’s foundational skills and knowledge to positively impact their academic performance and their lives.
In the past few decades, research has repeatedly shown that play experiences are not merely fun, nor just a way to pass the time along the way to adulthood. Instead, play has a central role in learning and in preparing you for challenges later in childhood and through adulthood. But not all play is learning, and not all learning is play. Therefore, Growd set out to find activities that are socially interactive, meaningful, actively engaging, age appropriate and are best suited for high impact learning.
