Cambridge Judge Business School wants to extend its most gracious thanks to our existing collaborators, with whom we have an existing deep relationship – Peking University HSBC Business School (PHBS), China Medical System (CMS), and current Cambridge MBA student Nancy Zhang (MBA 2019) and Richard Liu Qiangdong, together with their company JD.com – for their generous donation of medical supplies to the Cambridge University Health Partners system and other Cambridgeshire NHS partners.

In support of the current mission to defeat COVID-19 (coronavirus), all three – PHBS, CMS and JD.com – have generously donated a significant amount of medical supplies, personal protective equipment and many other much needed supplies to hospitals and patients in Cambridge, the wider region and the UK. The donations are being facilitated through Cambridge Judge Business School, and the University of Cambridge’s central point for logistics, Homerton College.

These supplies are being delivered to medical hospitals and GP surgeries in the Cambridgeshire area in support of the current mission to defeat COVID-19. The items will be used to support doctors, nurses and health workers treating COVID-19 patients and are critical for the provision of medical care for patients.

Professor Christoph Loch, Director of Cambridge Judge Business School, said: “We are deeply grateful to our colleagues at Peking University HSBC Business School (PHBS), China Medical Systems (CMS), and our MBA student Nancy Zhang, and Richard Liu and their company, JD.com, for their friendship, generosity and support.

“We are honoured and humbled that this extended community, based in China, are reaching out to support the University of Cambridge and the Cambridge heath care system in the fight to save lives and mitigate the spread of the virus. It is inspirational to witness their support in response to this pandemic.”

‘One world, one fight’. We are in this together.
