Four people associated with Cambridge Judge Business School were recognised in the 2020 New Year Honours List, for services to research, science and renewable energy.

Four people associated with Cambridge Judge Business School were named in the 2020 New Year Honours List, which recognises achievements and service of extraordinary people across the United Kingdom.

The honorees include:

  • Dr Dennis Gillings, a former member of the Cambridge Judge Advisory Board, who was named a Knights Bachelor for services to the Advancement of Dementia and Life Sciences Research.
  • Dr Mene Pangalos, Executive Vice-President, and President Biopharmaceuticals R&D at AstraZeneca and a current Cambridge Judge Advisory Board member, who was named a Knights Bachelor for services to UK Science.
  • Virginia Graham, CEO of Renewable Energy Assurance Limited and an alumnus of the Cambridge MBA class of 1998, was named an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for services to Promoting Renewable Energy.
  • Nicola Perrin, who was Head for Understanding Patient Data at the Wellcome Trust and is an MPhil alumnus (MPhil 2004) of Cambridge Judge, was named a Member of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for services to Science.

In total, 1,097 people were named in the 2020 New Year Honours list, including individuals in business, education, science, entertainment and politics.
