We greatly appreciate and welcome such offers, as they play a crucial role in enhancing our entrepreneurial ecosystem. Your support directly benefits our ventures and contributes to the enrichment and expansion of our network of expertise.
As part of a new initiative to enhance Mentor Venture matching at Accelerate Cambridge, we’re inviting potential Mentors to record a short video profile (3-5 minutes max) to introduce themselves to our Ventures.
Matching mentors to ventures is currently based on written bios and ad hoc conversations. While effective, this approach doesn’t always capture your mentoring style, personality, or deeper strengths — which are often the most valuable elements in a mentoring relationship.
To solve this, we’re building a video-based Mentor discovery platform that will allow ventures to explore profiles, filter by sector or expertise, and select mentors based on fit. Your video will play a central role in that process.
Your video should be:
- 3-5 minutes
- Your background and area(s) of expertise
- Your mentoring style (hands-on, strategic, etc.)
- The types of ventures you most enjoy supporting
- A brief mentoring success story or what you enjoy about mentoring
