In the summer, you must undertake one of the following activities for your Master of Finance:
- A research or business/consulting project (individual or group, self-sourced or advertised through the programme.
- A choice of a number of elective courses.
- An internship or work placement. Students source their own internships based on their areas of interest.
- A summer programme at Tsinghua University, PBC School of Finance, China (TBC).
Students are also required to complete a 1,000 word report, reflecting on their MFin experience and learning outcomes.
Any additional costs incurred as part of the summer activities, such as travel (flights, visas etc.) or related expenses, must be covered by the students.
The Cambridge MFin has given me the opportunity to experience Cambridge on three levels – through Cambridge Judge Business School, my College and the wider University. On each of those three levels, I was exposed to a rich and diverse array of people and experiences. I made friends for life and experienced things that would not be possible outside Cambridge – from the Business School’s research centres, to blind wine tasting. Overall, studying my MFin has been the best year of my life so far.
