Professional history

Bob Stefanowski is a global business leader with more than 30 years of experience in finance, restructuring and operations across North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. He is currently CEO of NEOM, USA, where he is responsible for attracting capital for a US $500 billion carbon-neutral city being built on the banks of the Red Sea in Saudi Arabia. Bob led NEOM’s landmark US $10 billion partnership with Air Products to build the world’s largest green hydrogen facility and launched a US $750 million equity investment fund to back technologies critical to the city’s future.

Previously, Bob was CEO of a consumer finance company taken private by Lone Star Capital for US $1.3 billion where he grew EBITDA from US $20 million to over US $200 million in 3 years. He served as Chief Financial Officer of UBS Investment Bank, leading a major restructuring to streamline operations, reduce cost and align with Basel III regulatory requirements. He was also CEO of several private credit businesses for G.E. Capital and was Managing Partner, International, at 3i Private Equity (FTSE 100).

In public service, Bob twice won the Republican nomination for Governor of Connecticut (2018, 2022). He was appointed to the Board of the Victoria & Albert Museum by UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown and has participated in the World Economic Forum in Davos.

In academia, Bob was a Professor of Management at Oxford University and has lectured at Yale, Cambridge, NYU, London School of Economics and Beijing University in corporate finance, negotiations and leadership. A CPA, CFA, CMA, and CFE, he has published 2 books on mergers and acquisitions.

Bob earned a BS from Fairfield University, an MBA from Cornell, and is a UPENN/Wharton Fellow. He lives in New York City with his wife of 34 years, and is an avid runner who has completed the New York and London Marathons.
