Cambridge Judge Business School’s Entrepreneurship Centre is inviting aspiring and early stage entrepreneurs to test their venture ideas, build a team and pitch to investors in 54 hours. The Venture Creation Weekend from 18-20 November is an exciting opportunity for those interested in exploring the reach of connected devices and looking to create innovative, wearable products.
The weekend is a hands-on learning experience where aspiring tech entrepreneurs and innovators can find out if their start-up ideas are viable within a safe environment and at limited cost. The winning team will get a place on the Accelerate Cambridge Programme managed and delivered by the Entrepreneurship Centre.

Smartbell was conceived at the IoT 54 Venture Creation Weekend in November 2015. From our initial idea of ‘smart farms for a smart world’ and a small prototype, we won a place on Accelerate Cambridge, gained mentoring support, made key connections, improved our product and have been featured on CambridgeTV, the Economist and the BBC. The impact of those 54 hours has been amazing!
Participating teams will demonstrate their prototypes and gain valuable feedback from industry experts including Peter Cowley, Entrepreneur and Angel Investor, Cambridge Angels; Shaun Grady, Vice President Business Development Operations, AstraZeneca; Martin Harriman, Entrepreneur, Investor and Advisor, ex board member at O2 and Telefonica; and Ahsan Zaman, Executive Director, World Media Online M2M Magazine, Director of International IoT Council.
