Four ventures currently or previously on the Cambridge Social Ventures programme at Cambridge Judge Business School were named to the 2019 NatWest SE100 Index, which recognises the leading 100 social enterprises in the UK.  Cambridge Social Ventures is part of the Cambridge Centre for Social Innovation at the School.

The Index, announced at an event in London, is a collaboration between social enterprise magazine Pioneers Post and National Westminster Bank. The Index is based on criteria for social enterprises including growth, impact, resilience, storytelling, leadership and investment.

The ventures honoured which have been on Cambridge Social Ventures are: genomic research firm Repositive; cleaning and gardening service Overstream Clean; sustainable brand firm mamoq; and Prison Voicemail, which helps prisoners stay in touch with family and friends.

The SE100 Index began in 2010 to gather insight and market intelligence about the UK social enterprise sector, and to honour achievement among UK social enterprises. Its objectives are to “put the facts and figures behind the fantastic stories of change that characterise the sector – and to forge a better understanding, within the sector and amongst the wider public, of the exciting, pioneering and successful organisations that identify themselves as social enterprises in the UK.”
