Scholars invited to submit papers to commemorate 20 years of Corporate Governance: An International Review
Cambridge Judge Business School and the Cambridge Corporate Governance Network (CCGN) will be hosting a special conference in September on national governance bundles to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the journal Corporate Governance: An International Review (CGIR). Scholars are invited to submit papers and the best work will be published in a subsequent special issue of the journal, which has an SSCI impact factor of 2.753.
National governance bundles are configurations of corporate governance mechanisms that simultaneously operate to govern firms – on both firm and national levels – within an overall economy or collections of economies.
Since it was founded in 1992, Corporate Governance: An International Review has grown in reach and stature as the world has come to understand the pivotal role of corporate governance within the global economy. Over the past two decades, its central mission remains the same: ‘To develop a rigorous and relevant global theory of corporate governance.’
The aim of the conference in September and subsequent special issue is to move the field closer to a global theory by advancing our understanding of national governance bundles, which combines insights from the literature on firm governance bundles with insights from the national governance systems literature.
The previous conference was held at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
