40th Annual Conference to be held at Cambridge Judge Business School
Cambridge Judge Business School is delighted to be hosting the 40th Annual European Finance Association Conference, EFA 2013, from 28-31 August 2013.
EFA 2013 is the largest financial academic conference outside of the US and the School will be playing host to over 650 delegates and guests. Professor Raghavendra Rau, Sir Evelyn de Rothschild Professor of Finance, is Vice President of the EFA and Programme Chair for this year’s conference. The conference’s keynote speaker is Richard Green, Richard M. and Margaret S. Cyert Professor of Financial Economics at Carnegie Mellon University.
Delegates will present their research papers at sessions over the course of the three days. This year’s choice of papers was particularly challenging because over 1,713 submissions were received for a total of only 240 spaces on the programme – the highest number of submissions for any finance conference in the world.
The EFA’s annual meeting is one of its main activities and it gives delegates the opportunity to present research work in the field of corporate finance, investment, financial markets, money and banking.
The aim of the EFA is to provide a professional society for academics and practitioners with an interest in financial management, financial theory and its application. The EFA serves as a focal point of communication for its European and international members. It also provides a framework for better dissemination of information and exchange on a global scale.
