Stelios Kavadias receives Meritorious Service Award from leading journal Management Science.
The leading journal Management Science has honoured Stelios Kavadias, Margaret Thatcher Professor of Enterprise Studies in Innovation & Growth at Cambridge Judge Business School, with its Meritorious Service Award for his dedicated work on the prestigious journal.
Stelios, who is also Director of Research at Cambridge Judge, has served for several years on the journal’s editorial board as an Associate Editor in entrepreneurship and innovation.
He was recognised with the Meritorious Service Award for 2014, which is granted to Associate Editors who “graciously agree to review many manuscripts and then consistently write timely, unbiased, and thoughtful reports,” Management Science said in a recent issue. Stelios previously won the award in 2009.
The journal covers areas of management ranging from strategy to information technology, and functional areas of business ranging from finance to accounting.
Management Science said its success “depends on the community of scholars who voluntarily contribute their time to provide thoughtful reviews of the manuscripts submitted to the journal.” In the academic year ended June 2014, the journal received such 4,005 reviews from 2,486 individuals.
