In addition to his support of Cambridge Judge, Sir Paul, a graduate of Trinity College, Cambridge and later a Thouron Fellow at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, was a successful businessman and supporter of many causes in education, the arts and business. With an early career with Cadbury Schweppes, where he undertook a number of international postings and projects, Sir Paul was later Chairman of Food from Britain, Director General of the Conservative Party, Chairman of the Royal Society of Arts and of Teachers TV, President of the Chartered Management Institute and a Director of Standard Bank Group of South Africa.

Sir Paul’s honorary appointments were many and include being Aldermanic Sheriff of the City of London for 2013-14 and an Alderman of the City of London, President of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and of the Association of MBAs, Chairman of the Enterprise Education Trust, of St Dunstan’s College and of the British-Serbian Chamber of Commerce, UK Chairman of the British–North American Committee, a Special Adviser to the Royal Institute of International Affairs at Chatham House where he chaired the North American Advisory Council and a Member of the Council of the Crown Agents, among many others.

Sir Paul’s benefaction of Cambridge Judge Business School was an integral part of the School’s transformation from start-up to success story, which has enabled many to enjoy a first-class business education at Cambridge.

Professor Christoph Loch, Dean of Cambridge Judge Business School, said:

Cambridge Judge Business School will forever be grateful to Sir Paul Judge for his benefaction to the Business School in 1990, which along with a generous donation from Simon Sainsbury’s Monument Trust, enabled the redevelopment of our iconic building, providing Cambridge with a focus for its many entrepreneurial and business activities.

The family is planning a public memorial service in due course. We hope you will join us in commemorating and celebrating Sir Paul Judge’s life.
