Our new Executive MBA participants explain why they chose to study at Cambridge.
In September 2018, we welcomed our new cohort of Executive MBA participants to Cambridge Judge Business School. Each year, our programme attracts talented, energetic and creative team players from across the globe, working in industries as diverse as healthcare, finance and not-for-profit.
This diversity is key to the overall experience of our participants, as much of their learning will come from interacting with fellow classmates over the next 20 months and beyond.
After their on-site Orientation Week in Cambridge, 6 of our participants explain why they decided to join the EMBA programme:
I greatly appreciate being back in the classroom after 20 years. This feels like the right time to hone my leadership skills. I believe that I can invigorate and share my skillset in this dynamic EMBA environment. Steeped in 800 years of history, I am honoured to be part of this distinguished Cambridge family.
The EMBA sets me on a journey to become a more responsible and self-aware manager. The programme offers a broad range of subject matters and will enable me to deal with the challenges of today’s world more effectively.
I hope that the EMBA equips me with a skillset that complements my technical experience. I’ve reached seniority on a technical level and now seek the skills required to help shape the knowledge economy in South Africa.
I think Cambridge will be like a 20-month retreat, providing an exotic platform for experiential learning between renowned faculty, a collaborative cohort and successful alumni. I want to embrace this experience to excel in my current role and crystallise my entrepreneurial ambitions.
Cambridge has this perfect mix of tradition and innovation. Its high standard of teaching engenders a culture of learning, transformation and meeting of minds. I look forward to the next 20 months with a lot of enthusiasm.
I anticipate that the EMBA will give me additional skills to enrich my work experience and allow for a better understanding of the academic foundation behind business decision-making. Being a surgeon based in Cambridge, it was the logical choice.
