A book about Chinese telecoms company Huawei co-authored by Professor David De Cremer of Cambridge Judge wins book award in Russia.
A book about leadership at Chinese telecoms company Huawei co-authored by David De Cremer, KPMG Professor of Management Studies at Cambridge Judge Business School, was named best business book by a foreign author published in Russia at the PwC Business Book of the Year awards.
The award established by professional services firm PwC was announced 24 May at the St Petersburg International Economic Forum 2018. Nominees include books published in Russia during the preceding year, and translations of books published abroad within two years of being published in Russian.
The book entitled Huawei: Leadership, Culture, and Connectivity – co-authored by Tian Tao, David De Cremer and Wu Chunbo – looks at how Huawei developed since its 1987 founding, focusing on the leadership style and values of Huawei founder, Ren Zhengfei. Winners of the award received a monetary award of one million rubles (approximately £12,000).
