Three students at Cambridge Judge Business School – Sophie Deans, Pippa Whittaker and Natan Wegrzycki-Szymczyk – are named to the Cambridge University crews for The Boat Race 2019 against Oxford University, to be held on 7 April.
Three current students at Cambridge Judge Business School are among the University of Cambridge crews named for The Boat Race 2019 against the University of Oxford, which will be held on 7 April on the River Thames in London.
The Cambridge Judge contingent are Sophie Deans (MPhil in Management 2018), Pippa Whittaker (Master of Finance 2018), and Natan Wegrzycki-Szymczyk (MPhil in Management 2018). The women’s and men’s teams for both universities were announced on 14 March at London City Hall.
Cambridge crews won both the men’s and women’s races in 2018 – the men by three lengths in a winning time of 17:51, and the women by seven lengths with a winning time of 19:06. Over the history of the races, the Cambridge men hold an 83-80 lead (with a dead heat in 1877) and the Cambridge women hold a 43-30 lead.
There are several Cambridge Judge alumni events on 7 April – in London, Edinburgh, Moscow and Vienna – at which people can watch The Boat Race on television and cheer on the Light Blues.
