Why the Cambridge MBA?

I was looking for the most suitable one-year Cambridge MBA programme that can not only connect me with a wide range of talents from the world but also offer me an unique experience that no other programmes could. The Cambridge MBA with an optimal class size of 150-200 talents from different industries and cultural backgrounds, that allowed us to be friends and learn from each and everyone under the very collaborative Business School culture. At the meantime, it was a huge plus to be at one of the oldest and best universities in the world to experience the academic ambience, the College traditions, while meeting and learning from talents across all disciplines.

How was your GCP experience?

My GCP was an growth strategy project for Sam Commercial Bank (SCB) in Bangkok Thailand. Our team leveraged the Cambridge connections to conduct interviews with the senior executives from different international banks to formulate an expansion strategy for SCB in Asia Pacific region. This project allows me to further build my connections with many Cambridge alumni in Asia. Some have become my mentors and friends who have offered advice and help me to develop my career in Asia.

What inspired your career direction?

At the beginning of the programme, I considered myself really lucky to be with such a talented group of high achievers. Gradually I realised how every one of us, including myself, had our unique background, experience and knowledge to contribute to the class. Having a few close friends from the class who are social entrepreneurs, and making an impact on creating a better and more equal world through technology, it made me realise I can and should also be one of them. So I decided my next move in career was to get into the tech sector to acquire the knowledge and network for preparing myself to be a social entrepreneur in this digital era.

Your plans for the next five years?

To continue develop my knowledge, experience and network in the technology sector, which is disrupting many traditional ways of how different businesses run across different industries.

The Cambridge MBA in three words…

Flourishing, adventurous, remarkable.

Any advice to incoming students?

To make sure you will get the most out of the Cambridge MBA without regret. Mark down five things you would want to achieve during the programme and assign a percentage of time to it that will sum up to a hundred. And then review and adjust it every month.
