Our passion is our compass in life. It will point us in the right direction if we follow it. In photography, as in life, one of the most important things is to find meaning and projects that live in our heart and resonate with us.

Join us for this occasional speaker series to hear photographer Esther Horvath talk about how she found her own way, her love for the polar regions, after being an economist.

She will speak about life on a research expedition, life in the middle of the Arctic Ocean on a research vessel, and life in the northernmost community on the planet, in Ny-Ålesund, Svalbard, in the polar night.

Esther brings the scientists and the people who live and work in the Arctic into focus. These are the people who provide the world with important information, scientific data about the polar regions and about our future on Earth. It’s about their lives in minus 40°C and their dedication, working day and night with love and care in their hearts to understand and raise awareness of the changing Arctic.

Please note, attendees are welcome to bring a guest.
