Research interests
Innovation adoption and how innovation is shaped and implemented; accounting information systems; digital business reporting (e.g. iXBRL) and how digitisation transforms business-to-government reporting across various jurisdictions; public policy.
Lidia’s area of research interest focuses on digital innovation adoption. Her research is positioned at the interface between social and human sciences and digital computation. Drawing from novel and established methods, Lidia’s research investigates the infrastructure of digital business reporting. The research aims to better inform scholars, professional industry associations, governmental authorities, and practitioners in establishing a more efficient digital communication of business data and in improving current policies.

Professional experience
Dr Mishchenko is a Teaching Associate at the University of Cambridge Judge Business School with teaching responsibilities for the Executive MBA and MPhil programmes. Lidia’s past experience includes lectureship roles at Downing College, Cambridge; the University of Northampton; and the Open University. Lidia has developed new teaching programmes and has experience in leadership and management as a previous deputy programme lead. Lidia is a member of the British Accounting and Finance Association, Academy of Management, and a fellow for the Higher Education Academy. Alongside her academic experience, Lidia had worked in consultancy at PwC in audit.
