Five Cambridge Judge students are on this year’s men’s team for the battle of blues at Twickenham Stadium.
Cambridge University Rugby Union Football Club will have strong support from Cambridge Judge Business School at the Rugby Varsity Match this year. The 138th match will take place on Thursday 12 December at Twickenham Stadium in London.
Five current Cambridge Judge students will be in the men’s team trying to scoop a victory against rival Oxford. They are:
- Charles (Charlie) MacCallum – Management Studies Tripos (Downing College)
- Phillip (Flip) van der Merwe – Executive MBA (Queens’ College)
- James Horwill – Executive MBA (Queens’ College)
- Christopher (Chris) Bell – Management Studies Tripos (Girton College)
- Thomas (Tom) Lovelace – MBA (Hughes Hall).
The first men’s Varsity Match between Oxford and Cambridge was played in 1872, while the women’s match began in 1988. It is one of the world’s longest-running sporting fixtures. This year’s women’s match will start at 11:30 with the men’s match beginning at 15:00.
