A new book by Cambridge Judge alumnus, on how to spend time efficiently and happily, becomes the number one top seller in Amazon’s Business Time Management Skills category in the UK.
A new book about making efficient and mindful use of time by James Wallman, an alumnus of the Postgraduate Diploma in Entrepreneurship (PGDE) at Cambridge Judge Business School, achieved number one best seller status on Amazon’s category of Business Time Management Skills in the UK.
The book published by Penguin, entitled Time and How to Spend It: The 7 Rules for Richer, Happier Days, was published on 4 April.
The book addresses the problem of wasted, unfulfilling time, drawing on insights from psychology and economics – including tips on how to avoid WMDs (weapons of mass distraction).
On the PGDE programme, James focused on his startup, GroupHug, which aims to promote the importance of giving experiences as gifts rather than unneeded “stuff”.
“Time management is especially vital for entrepreneurs, who often work alone or with one or two partners – doing product development, sales, marketing, and customer service themselves, not to mention fundraising,” says Dr Chris Coleridge, Senior Faculty in Management Practice at Cambridge Judge. “Efficiency in time management can mean the difference between success and failure of a fledgling business. Spending that time mindfully is also important – being happy keeps entrepreneurs going as they pursue their goals.”
