Dr Kamal Munir of Cambridge Judge named first winner of Mintzberg Distinguished Alumnus Award by McGill University.
Dr Kamal Munir of Cambridge Judge Business School has been named the first winner of the Mintzberg Distinguished Alumnus Award by McGill University in Montreal, where he received his PhD degree at the Desautels Faculty of Management.
The award recognises “the outstanding career accomplishments of doctoral alumni who have achieved international research renown or have provided significant service to society”.
In conjunction with the award, Kamal was invited to speak to a conference on 31 May organised by the Desautels Doctoral Student Association, where he spoke about his journey as a doctoral student and offered advice to current students on how to navigate their own career journeys.
Kamal is a Reader in Strategy & Policy at Cambridge Judge, Academic Director of the School’s Centre for Strategic Philanthropy, Race & Inclusion Champion at the University of Cambridge and a Fellow of Homerton College.
He was also recently named Pro-Vice-Chancellor (University Community and Engagement) at the University of Cambridge for a first term of three years with effect from 1 October.
