2014_news_entrepreneursgraduate_graduandsA host of entrepreneurs have just celebrated their graduation from the Postgraduate Diploma in Entrepreneurship at the University of Cambridge.

Students gathered from across the globe to receive their awards from Dr Jennifer Barnes FRSA, Pro-Vice Chancellor for International Strategy at the University, together with Programme Director Dr Joanna Mills and programme tutors Dr Shailendra Vyakarnam, Dr Shima Barakat and Dr Efstathia Pitsa.

The class of 2012/13 includes individuals from the UK, Europe, Malaysia and Australia who have started businesses across a diverse range of industry sectors such as property development, education, healthcare and fitness.

The Postgraduate Diploma in Entrepreneurship is a part-time, 12-month programme offered by Cambridge Judge Business School which transforms the entrepreneurial aspirations of ambitious individuals into real action and new enterprises. Students are actively supported in the pursuit of a business venture whether this is a technology, creative, not-for-profit or social enterprise and wherever they are in the world.

The recent graduates are full of praise for the programme.

Ryan Windsor, founder of UK-based Windsor Properties and also a Trustee/Non-Executive Director of the Keystone Development Trust said:

The course has been invaluable, teaching me so much and advising me on how best to grow and expand my current enterprise. I have nearly doubled my portfolio size in the past year.

“The Diploma equips you with a broad range of entrepreneurial skills from validating a concept to developing the business model and pitching the idea to understanding how to implement the business model and move it forward. I’m sure the experience has accelerated the progression of my venture and enabled me to launch much faster. Plus the skills I’ve developed will stay with me and facilitate the growth of the business.”
