The UK government’s green paper on industrial strategy following Britain’s exit from the European Union cites the role of Cambridge Judge Business School in contributing to the entrepreneurial culture of the “Cambridge Cluster” of technology and biotech businesses.

“The mature cluster has strong networking institutions for business,” says the report, entitled Building our Industrial Strategy, citing Cambridge Judge programmes for new entrepreneurs such as the Postgraduate Diploma in Entrepreneurship (PGDE), which is managed by the School’s Entrepreneurship Centre.

“The area has been among the fastest growing in the country in recent decades,” says the report.

“Last summer’s referendum was not simply a vote to leave the European Union,” UK Prime Minister Theresa May says in a Foreword to the report. “It was an instruction to the Government to change the way our country works – and the people for whom it works – forever. So our Plan for Britain is not just a plan to leave the EU, but a plan to shape a new future for the kind of country we will be when we have left.”
