Idea Transform, the major new initiative to support meaningful entrepreneurs, has announced further keynote speakers, judges and mentors for its weekend event on 20-22 April, which is being hosted by Cambridge Judge Business School.

Billy Boyle, co-founder of sensor company Owlstone Nanotech; Jack Lang, serial entrepreneur and Raspberry Pi trustee; and Dr Ward Hill, CEO of medical monitoring company, Pneumacare, will join Alex van Someren of Amadeus Capital Partners and Jon Bradford of Springboard as confirmed speakers for the event.

Backed by the School’s Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning, Idea Transform aims to inspire developing ideas that can benefit and improve society, in areas as diverse as education, health, finance, community and the environment. It will team up people with ideas and those with business, marketing and technical skills to work together intensely over the weekend in order to develop meaningful and innovative projects.

Open to all, the attendees will benefit from a combination of hands-on, experienced mentors and inspiring keynote speakers to provide the perfect environment to learn, advance their ideas, network with like-minded individuals and enjoy themselves. At the end of the weekend, a high profile judging panel will select those projects that show the most promise and Idea Transform will then work closely with them to provide on-going mentoring and support.

Alongside its panel of inspiration speakers, Idea Transform has attracted an experienced panel of judges for the event. These include David Gill, Managing Director of the St John’s Innovation Centre, Peter Cowley, Angel Investor, and Hugh Parnell, Chairman of Cambridge Cleantech.

During the event, teams will be able to work with a comprehensive group of expert mentors, drawn from the business development, marketing, investor, software, web design, education and mobile sectors.
