Dr Lionel Paolella of Cambridge Judge Business School is named in the Best 40 Under 40 Professors list by publication Poets & Quants, based on teaching, research and impact on students.
Dr Lionel Paolella, University Lecturer in Strategy & Organisation at Cambridge Judge Business School, has been named in the 2019 list of Best 40 Under 40 Professors by business school publication Poets & Quants, which said Lionel was one of the “most-nominated” faculty in its survey.
Lionel teaches on the full-time MBA programme at Cambridge Judge and is also involved in the School’s Executive Education programmes for Professional Services Firms and General Management.
There were nominations for 188 different faculty members under age 40 for this year’s seventh annual list by the publication, up from 91 different faculty members last year.
The list is designed, says the publication, “to identify the world’s best young business school professors in terms of research prowess, teaching chops, and the impact they have on current students, former students, colleagues, business education research, and society and the world in general, with faculty selected on the basis of teaching and research.”
Poets & Quants said that Lionel’s approach to his Strategy core course as part of the Cambridge MBA programme is “so welcomed and popular” that he has been honoured over the past two years with the School’s Teaching Award and the MBA Faculty of the Year Award voted by the graduating MBA class. Lionel, now age 36, has been on the Cambridge Judge faculty since 2014.
One student told the publication:
Lionel is nothing short of an amazing lecturer. He grabs the attention of the room with his provocative nature and keeps the attention with his sheer intellect and engaging personality. He cares deeply about student success and always goes above and beyond to ensure that every class delivers value.
