Aims and objectives
MAPSME I – an i10 project – involved mapping the manufacturing SMEs in the Eastern region. To help identify the innovation capabilities of the SMEs the CBR developed a model, which ranked the non-innovating businesses from the UK Innovation survey 2001 and the CBR 2002 panel survey according to their innovation potential by producing an innovatability score. This model is the basis of an i10 web tool, which firms can access to find out their own innovatability score.
