EnterpriseTECH Graduate

EnterpriseTECH

Several MPhil programmes at the University of Cambridge incorporate EnterpriseTECH as an assessed module. In 2018, MRes in Future Infrastructure and the Built Environment, MPhil in Bioscience Enterprise, and MPhil in Engineering for Sustainable Development students took part. Next academic year, students from the MPhil in Chemistry are joining us. The School of Clinical Medicine is also funding up to five places for MPhil students across the school.

If you are a student outside of these programmes you are welcome to apply. We encourage you to seek financial assistance through your department for the £500 programme fee. If you plan to attend you need to be available for all of the important dates below and have permission from your course director or supervisor. The intensive lecture dates fall just outside of Michaelmas Term.

Monday 3 December EnterpriseTECH Graduate Launch Night (evening)
Tuesday 4 - Thursday 6 December inclusive Intensive lecture series (all day)
Wednesday 13 March EnterpriseTECH Graduate Pitch Night (evening)
Date to be confirmed The Art of Pitching workshop (evening)
Date to be confirmed Communicating & Negotiating workshop (evening)

Assessment

Individual assessment 10%
Two-minute team video 20%
Six-minute team pitch 20%
3,000-word team commercial feasibility report 50%

Module marks for those taking the programme as an assessed module are returned to the course directors at home departments and faculties. We send detailed feedback on the team efforts back to all teams before the Easter term. Participants must submit all assignments by Friday 15 March 2019.

For MPhil and Masters students attending for professional development, the assessment criteria for obtaining a CJBS Certificate of Completion are the same as those set out for the PhD+ stream. The assignment deadline is also Friday 15 March 2019.

This programme is an amazing course, offering students outside CJBS the unique opportunity to develop their business skills in an exciting and enjoyable way. It provides lectures that teach you how to think in business terms and it allows you to express your creativity and passion for the programme through pitches, a video, along with a final report to put the final touch.
