EnterpriseTECH Graduate

EnterpriseTECH

In 2018, the MRes in Future Infrastructure and the Built Environment, MPhil in Bioscience Enterprise, and MPhil in Engineering for Sustainable Development students attended EnterpriseTECH as an assessed module for science and engineering MPhil students at the University of Cambridge. MPhils from other programmes may take it as a professional development course. In the next academic year, MPhil in Chemistry and MRes in Nuclear Energy students are joining us.

If you are an MPhil student outside of these programmes we will welcome your application, and encourage you to seek financial assistance through your department or other source for the £500 programme fee.

You will need to be available for all of the dates below and have permission from your course director or supervisor. The intensive lecture dates fall just outside of Michaelmas Term.

Monday 3 December EnterpriseTECH Launch Night (evening)
Tuesday 4 - Thursday 6 December inclusive Intensive lecture series (all day)
Tuesday 4 December Team building Workshop - Group 1 (evening)
Wednesday 5 December Team building Workshop - Group 2 (evening)
Tuesday 19 February The Art of Pitching workshop - Group 1 (evening)
Wednesday 20 February The Art of Pitching workshop - Group 2 (evening)
Wednesday 13 March EnterpriseTECH Pitch Night (evening)

Assessment

Individual assessment 10%
Two-minute team video 20%
Six-minute team pitch 20%
3,000-word team commercial feasibility report 50%

Module marks for those taking the programme as an assessed module are returned to the course directors at home departments and faculties. We send detailed feedback back to all teams before the Easter term. Participants must submit all assignments by Friday 15 March 2019.

For MPhil and Masters students attending for professional development, the assessment criteria for obtaining a CJBS Certificate of Completion are the same as those set out for the PhD+ stream. The assignment deadline is also Friday 15 March 2019.

This programme is an amazing course, offering students outside CJBS the unique opportunity to develop their business skills in an exciting and enjoyable way. It provides lectures that teach you how to think in business terms and it allows you to express your creativity and passion for the programme through pitches, a video, along with a final report to put the final touch.
