The current climate is a good time to learn about finance explains Professor Raghavendra Rau
Cambridge Judge Business School’s Executive Education courses are being boosted with the introduction of a number of new finance programmes offering a complete overview of financial theory and practice.
The series is the brainchild of Professor Raghavendra Rau, the Sir Evelyn de Rothschild Professor of Finance, who feels that the current economic climate presents a good learning opportunity.
“Five years ago you would say everything is going well. It doesn’t matter what you do, I’m making money so there’s nothing to learn. Now is the time you really need to learn.”
The series is aimed at people wishing to switch to a career in finance, or those already in a finance role but lacking formal education in the area.
The programmes are Behavioural Finance, Corporate Governance: Agency Problems & Ethics, Corporate Investment, Raising Capital, Portfolio Management and Options, Futures & Other Derivatives.
