Where our ventures pitch their ideas
Pitch @ Judge is our regular showcase where Accelerate Cambridge ventures and local start‑ups pitch their ideas, share progress, and test their narrative in front of an audience of peers and invited guests, with feedback and judging from Accelerate Cambridge Coaches and Mentors. These sessions give founders the opportunity to practise clear, evidence‑based storytelling around their KPIs and milestones, and to receive structured, constructive feedback on both content and delivery.
Each Pitch @ Judge event is designed to support learning as much as visibility. Founders use these sessions to refine their message, sharpen their strategy, and stress‑test their assumptions, while building confidence in presenting to investors, partners, and wider ecosystem stakeholders.
Over time, Pitch @ Judge becomes a key stepping stone towards Investor days, partner meetings, and other external opportunities, strengthening both venture readiness and the Cambridge entrepreneurial community.
If you're going to be looking for funding you need to practice your pitch several times in front of an audience. The friendly pitch sessions and constructive feedback are probably the most valuable bit of the Accelerate programme and it would be foolish not to take advantage of them. When you do it for real, you're going to be up against people who have pitched dozens or even hundreds of times before. If you go into that without practice you are extremely unlikely to be successful. It's also never too early to start practicing. Even if you're still working on your idea and proposition there's nothing like having to condense it down to a short presentation to force you to do the hard thinking about your business.
