The Cambridge EMBA 

Gain a first-class global business education. The Cambridge EMBA is delivered principally in the historic and well-connected city of Cambridge and centred right at the heart of our dynamic local business community.  
Format: a 20-month programme delivered across 16 weekends and 4 week-long sessions, spread across five terms. 

The Global EMBA 

Gain a first-class global business education delivered through blended learning and international business trips. 

Format: a 20-month programme delivered in 6 week-long (4 in Cambridge and 2 International) and 11 online teaching blocks.

Elevate your expertise as a senior business professional through our impactful practical projects. Dive deep into your area of interest with the Individual Project, producing substantial work that contributes to new knowledge creation under faculty guidance.

International experience

Immerse yourself in the entrepreneurial hotspots of Cambridge’s Silicon Fen. Experience global innovation and tech genius firsthand, and participate in the International Business Study Trip outside of the UK.

Orientation week

It’s demanding, it’s exciting and it’s designed to get you off to a flying start. Get your first taste of life as an Executive MBA student.

Orientation week is an intensive introduction to your EMBA programme. You’ll attend lectures in core business areas to help you settle back into a learning mindset and start getting to know your classmates.

Term 1

The term begins with the Orientation Week, an intensive introduction to all aspects of the Executive MBA programme.

This term The Cambridge EMBA cohort embark on the International Business Study Trip, with all lectures for the course delivered during the trip. In Term two on the Global EMBA, the term begins with a week-long teaching block in Cambridge, UK. The rest consists of online live sessions.

The Team Consulting Project is a collaboration between an external organisation and EMBA participants, where participants form small teams to act as consultants for an organisation of their choice.

The Global EMBA start their electives in term 4. Electives allow you to broaden your experiences, focus on subjects of particular interest, and tailor your Executive MBA to your specific needs. Subjects for the electives vary from year to year.

As part of the assessment for the Executive MBA you are required to sit examinations. These generally take place on specific Friday mornings and are likely to require you to be here earlier on those days. The examination dates will be provided when you start the programme.
